A 72-year-old man died late last night in Langlaagte, Johannesburg after he fell about ten meters through the roof of a building.

ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said it is believed that the man along with other people were inspecting parts of the roof when he fell through it.

Vermaak says when paramedics arrive at the incident they found the man sitting on the chair.

"Paramedics started treating him, and suddenly while they were treating him his condition deteriorated and showed no signs of life. Paramedics initiated CPR, despite the hopes, the man died on the scene, Vermaak added.
