A man expected in court tomorrow for dealing in drugs worth R3 million

A 35-year-old man is expected to appear in the Beaufort West Magistrate Court for dealing in drugs to an estimated street value of R3-million.

Police over the weekend followed up on information regarding a suspicious truck that was en-route to Cape Town and immediately followed up.

Captain Malcolm Pojie said with the search they found 1.9 ton of dagga bags in the truck. They arrested the suspect on the spot and confiscated the dagga to an estimated value of R3-million.

Pojie added that he is currently in custody in the Beaufort West Police holding cells and will appear in court on Wednesday.
