Congress of the People has lashed
out on the conduct of President Jacob Zuma and Minister of Police Nathi Ntleko
saying they have turned Parliament into a big circus.
This comes after Police Minister
Nkosinathi Nhleko was scheduled to release the Nkandla report on Wednesday
night in a live broadcast, but the briefing was postponed at the last minute.
Meanwhile responding to the
presidency budget in Parliament yesterday President Jacob Zuma accused the
opposition parties of being obsessed with Nkandla.
Cope Spokesperson Dennis Bloem said the
Congress of the People is asking who will ever take South Africa seriously with a clown
of a president.
Bloem said our country is quickly
becoming the laughing stock of the world. For instance yesterday the
president and the minister of police were the biggest clowns. President Zuma
acted as if there is not serious business in Parliament.”
