IFP concerned about court security

The Inkatha Freedom Party has raised concern about a lack of security at courts. This follows the shooting incident of a man outside the uMlazi court, South of Durban.

IFP KZN Spokesperson on Community Safety Blessed Gwala said police are lax in checking people at the entrance and police are responsible for being negligent regarding court security.

Gwala said another person that was killed outside court was shot because he was a witness in a court case.

“So we are calling on government to make sure that there is protection for people who are witnesses in cases” Gwala added.
