MMC send condolences to the families of the two fire fighters

The Office of the Member of Mayoral Committee for Public Safety in the City of Johannesburg has send its condolences to the two firefighters who died while on duty on Sunday.

The two died while fighting a blaze at a building in Market Street in the Johannesburg CBD.

Spokesperson for MMC Sello Lemoa, Thabo Rangwaga said the MMC would also like to applaud and thank all the brave men and women who came to the rescue of their fallen comrades during last night's fire incident as they demonstrated their diligence and commitment to keeping the City safe.

Rangwaga added that the department of Public Safety is mobilising its resources accordingly to ensure that the fallen heroes are honoured with the respect and dignity which they have so earned through their commitment and dedication.
