Six people including a five year old
child lost their lives in a crash at the N14 near Krugersdorp on Gauteng's West
Rand on Sunday night.
It's been reported that two vehicles
collided head-on.
Net care 911 spoksperson Chris Botha
said when we arrived there we found the car in flames and people still trapped
inside the car, while the other vehicle was distance away, also with some of
the vehicles trapped.
Most of the people sustained
critical injuries. Paramedics treated the patients and later transported them
to various hospitals.
Meanwhile a man was injured
following an accident on the R104 Bronkhorspruit Road in Rayton last night.
The exact details surrounding the
cause of the incident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Netcare’s spokeswoman Santi
Steinmann says Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene
and found that a light utility vehicle left the roadway and overturned several
times, coming to a standstill on its side next to the roadway.
“Upon assessment of the occupants,
paramedics found that a man sustained critical injuries during the rollover
accident”.
The injured man was treated at the
scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care he required, Steinmann
added
