Western Cape MEC of Transport
and Public Works, Donald Grant, will be visiting the Bellville Mechanical
Workshop this afternoon to welcome three of its new apprentice intern for this
year. Where their apprenticeship programme has been training young artisans in
essential skills, since its revival in 2015.
MEC Grant will also be touring
the Workshop where the programme is run from.
Ministerial Spokesperson
Spihesihle Dube said some of the apprentices have gone to pass their qualifying
trade tests and are now professionals in the industry.
“This part of the various
activities that highlights the Western Cape government’s commitment through
skills and training in this Youth Month.” Dube added.
