It is alleged that on 01 June 2015 the member attended to a complaint of Domestic Violence.

The suspect was not arrested, but instead the Police member told the suspect he will sort out the matter for him and demanded money as payment.

Captain FC Van Wyk said The Police officer was allegedly paid R500 on the same day. On 08 June 2015 the Police Officer allegedly arrested the suspect but did not document his particulars in the SAPS registers, and instead demanded R2000 from the suspect where-after he was released.
