It
is believed that the BMW the two were travelling in lost control and crashed.

Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said paramedics were on the way through to another
emergency call when they came across to the accident.
Vermaak
added that upon assessment they found that a driver has succumbed to the
injuries and the passenger in the vehicle was in a critical. With the help of
Fire Rescue Services they managed to extricate the person from the vehicle
stabilizing on scene then transported through to Groot Schuur
Hospital
The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
