Two armed robbers who were
fatally shot on Sunday have been linked through fingerprints to at a combined
16 other crimes.
The two suspects were killed
during a shootout with police when the police attempted to arrest them while
they were robbing a house.
Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said,
we have linked the two deceased suspects to 16 counts of other serious crimes
which include the arm robbery cases, possession of suspected property to be
stolen, and one attempted murder case.
“One
of those two suspects has been linked to 13 of those cases, 9 of which were in
awaiting trial and other 4 was cases which they linked to finger prints and the
2nd deceased suspect has been linked to three cases all of which he was in
awaiting trial” Naidoo added.
