A stabbing incident this morning on Springbok
Avenue in Middelburg has left a 16-year-old boy in a critical condition.
The boy was stabbed while walking to school.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said ER24
paramedics were alerted to the incident and immediately responded to the high
school.
Meiring said when paramedics assessed the patient they
found that he had sustained stab wounds to his arms and back. Paramedics
treated the patient for his injuries and provided him with advanced life support
interventions.
“Once treated, the patient was transported to
Midmed Hospital for urgent medical treatment” Meiring added.
