A man died after a vehicle and mini-bus collided

An accident on Marthinus Smuts Drive near Baragwanath Road in Diepkloof left one person dead and 14 people injured.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon arrival on scene, they found that a light utility vehicle and a mini-bus were involved.

Upon the assessment of all the occupants they found that the male driver of the mini-bus tragedy lost his life while 14 others sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

The injured patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact details to the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
