Eskom warned suppliers to be alert of fraudsters

Power utility Eskom has warned suppliers and companies of fraudsters operating as the Industrial World Business publication.

The fraudsters are allegedly advertising falsely about Eskom and using its logo.

Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phaiswe said what we are saying as the company is that, there are a number of international magazines, many of them especially from the UK they have been sending a number of letters to our suppliers claiming that we as the company, as Eskom have encouraged those companies to participate in a form of advertising in their publication.

Phasiwe said we issued a statement yesterday cautioning suppliers in South Africa and elsewhere to be vigilant about some of these companies that are claiming that we have been encouraging them to participate in advertising in some of the publications.
