MEC of Social Development highlights the importance of the role of children and youth care workers

The Minister of Social
Development, Bathabile Dlamini, will give the keynote speech today at the
National Association of Child Care Workers Conference.
The conference serves as a
platform for child and youth care givers to share ideas and lessons on how to
improve childcare in South Africa.
The Department of Social
Development has a program that focuses on children looking after themselves.
Lumka Oliphant said the
Department of Social Development has a program where the children taking care
of themselves, those that play an adult role, we are trying to make sure we
celebrate this profession also to try and see what ways to can improve role of
our child in the community.
