Oudtshoorn Municipality put under administration

The African National Congress in the Western Cape has welcomed the intervention to place the Oudtshoorn Municipality under administration.

The municipality has not produced a budget for a year and the municipality has also seen leadership struggles.

ANC’s Cobus Grobler said this also brings an end to the fallacy that Oudtshoorn is closed down, that is not true, and it is still service delivery as usual.

“We call on ANC councillors and other parties to work together to make sure that service delivery is efficient and that the council is active on issues” Grobler added.
