Seven suspects are appearing in court today after they were arrested for being part of a syndicate of impersonating the Hawks.

The arrest follows an investigation which started in March this year which already six other suspects have been arrested.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said the syndicate was cheating people in terms of demanding money from them with the pretense of releasing suspects from court, and as such the money would be deposited into and account where it would then be distributed amongst the suspects.

Mulaudzi said while the operation was successful we still believe there might be more people involved and as such the investigation is still ongoing.
