The Congress of the People says it admires Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi for making use of a public hospital.

Motsoaledi was admitted to the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria on Sunday.

He was recently diagnosed with pneumonia and is receiving treatment. He had previously made use of the hospital in 2013 for a surgical procedure.

Cope’s spokesperson Dennis Bloem said

“’We want to applaud the Minister, for him to go to a public hospital and (to) show an example that the public hospital are also as good as the private hospital. We want to urge his colleagues to follow what the Minister is doing.’’
