DA calls for investigation of racial discrimination at Stellenbosch Uni

The
Democratic Alliance says it condemns all instances of racial discrimination
which aims to foster divisions in society.
DA’s
national spokeswoman, Phumzile van Damme says, the DA agrees that there needs
to be an investigation into this matter.
She
said the DA calls upon all stakeholders including Parliament’s Portfolio Committee
on Higher Education and Training, the leaders of the university and the
students to find each other in order to formulate a way forward.
“We
are requesting that every allegation of racism at Stellenbosch university be
investigated and not be swept under the carpet” Van Damme added.
