Holland man found with suspicious medicine in Durbanville

Police conducted a search in a house in Durbanville after a 55-year-old man was suspected to be carrying a suspicious medicine from Holland.

Spokesperson FC van Wyk said the members from Border Police based at Cape Town International Airport, established that parcels from an individual was being mailed to various international destinations.

They tested one of the parcels and found it to contain traces of Heroin.

Van Wyk added, “Yesterday morning an integrated operation was conducted at a residential estate in Durbanville where an illegal medicine manufacturing facility was uncovered. Numerous items of equipment, glass tubes and containers, as well as a variety of chemicals were found in two rooms on the premise.”

He was arrested and will appear in court in the Belville Magistrate Court on Monday.
