Western Cape Community of Safety MEC Dan Plato will be joining the Ocean’s view neighborhood watch in his solidarity patrol campaign.

MEC Plato held a similar walkabout in Maneberg yesterday.

Ministerial Spokesperson Ewald Botha said the patrols highlight the role each community member can play in launching visible crime prevention strategies within their neighborhoods in the united effort to help create safer communities

Botha added that Neighborhood Watches have the purpose of safeguarding its members and their property against crime and must report to the MEC of Community Safety on safety concerns and crime incidents in the area.
