Five suspect sought after hijacking tourists in KZN

Police in KwaZulu Natal are searching for five suspects after six tourists were hijacked at gunpoint by five suspects near the Emanguzi Policing area.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane said the victims from Mpumalanga were hijacked of their Fortune and Hi-Lux bakkies after which the suspects fled the scene in their Dark blue Polo with GP plates.  

“It’s alleged that around 07:00 yesterday six people were in their cars at Emanguzi area when they were hijacked by armed men. They were taken to a bush where they were left at and suspects fled the scene with their own vehicle,” Zwane added. 


The Emanguzi police are investigating hijacking and kidnapping cases. Zwane
