Hawks arrest four Zimbabweans

The Hawks have arrested four Zimbabwean nationals in Randjiesfontein, Midrand, following an operation on Tuesday.

The suspects, twin brothers and two suspects aged between 26 and 35 years old were caught in the process of stripping copper cables.

They were also found in possession of copper cables worth millions of rand.

Brigadier Hangwani Malaudzi said, “We did visit their plot where they are working from and we see a lot of valuables worth millions and subsequent investigations also lead us to fraudulent invoices that we believe that were being used by this quadrat. The copper cables was also confirmed to be coming from City Power in Johsnnesburg.


“We are going to be charging them with theft which they will also oppose as they go to court.” Malaudzi added.
