MEC Plato to host safety oversight walk in Masiphumelele

The Western Cape MEC of community safety, Dan Plato will conduct a safety oversight walkabout in the community of Masiphumelele on Monday.

The safety oversight walk will see MEC Plato joined by the local neighbourhood watches, community policing forum and the South African Police Services.

Spokesperson for MEC Plato, Ewald Botha explained that MEC Plato will be speaking to community members and listening to their concerns for safety and the causes for the recent escalation in violence.


“MEC Plato will also inform community members about the options available to them when they are unhappy about the safety service delivery they receive.” Botha concluded
