One person died and two others injured in a taxi and motor vehicle collision

One person tragically died while two others were injured after a taxi and a light motor vehicle collided along the R102 in Shakaskraal this morning.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha says Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the taxi driver had been ejected from the crumpled remains of his vehicle, tragically he died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.

He adds that the taxi passenger sustained serious injuries while one other person escaped with minor injuries.

“After medics treated the injured at the scene they transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required” he concluded.
