A 27-year-old alleged rapist
was murdered on Monday at Setlagole Village near Mahikeng.
A 24 year old female victim
alleges that the suspect came to her at a tavern and later went home with her.
The accused is believed to
have forced the victim to accompany him and when the victim declined, the man
forcefully dragged her in nearby bushes and raped her.
Police Captain Paul Ramaloko
says the man was allegedly murdered by a group of concerned community members
accusing him of raping a local woman.
He says a rape case has been
opened and no one has been arrested for the murder, our investigators are
continuing.
