The Congress of the People
says, the Acting Police Commissioner is alleging that Wits University student
leaders are being used by external forces to stir trouble.
COPE spokesperson Dennis Bloem
says the party is not in the least surprised by this allegation.
Instead of improving
governance and adhere to the constitution, the ruling party is pointing fingers
elsewhere.
“We are calling upon this
government not to insult the people of this country and the students because we
believe this is a genuine and honest campaign.” Bloem added.
