The Democratic Alliance says President Jacob Zuma’s alleged cosy relations with Western Cape gangsters in order to influence elections, underscores the moral bankruptcy to his leadership and his lack of care for communities who suffer from gangsterism and drug related crimes.

DA leader spokesperson, Mabine Seabe says this is a new low for a broken President who regards South Africa and its safety as a secondary priority in his bid to cling the power.

The DA will therefore be taking the following actions to ensure that the truth comes to light and the President is held to account.” Seabe said,

“Thousands of innocent South Africans are killed by gangs and gang violence every year, yet President Zuma would rather cosy up to gangsters than deal decisively with the scourge of gangsterism”, Seabe concluded.
