Eastern Cape teacher and a 20-year-old shot dead outside a club

A teacher from Ngqeleni and a 20-year-old high school pupil were gunned down outside an Mthatha nightclub at the weekend.

Mthatha police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says the shooting took place shortly after 1am on Sunday.

Both victims died on the scene. Fatyela explains…

“Police are still looking for 5 men who shot and killed a teacher and a 20-year-old learner. The two were killed in a night club called “so what” in the early hours of the morning on Sunday.

He says “For now no one has been arrested and police have opened a case of murder. Mthatha police urge anyone with information to come forward or call 10111.”
