In the statement issued, the South African
Municipal Workers Union says, workers at the Buffalo City Municipality are
currently protesting against the municipal management which has unilaterally
changed the clocking system without any consultation with workers or unions.
SAMWU regional secretary Zolani Ndlela explains……
“The issue is coming from a clocking system.
Workers at Buffalo City are saying they want the manual clocking system and we
are still engaging management about that issue as leadership of SAMWU”
