MEC Mbombo to host annual Cecelia Makhiwane Nurses Recognition Awards

Western Cape MEC of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo will host the annual Cecilia Makhiwane Nurses recognition Awards Ceremony in recognition of the immense and often under-appreciated role played by nurses in the society.

Coleen Smart, spokesperson for MEC Mbombo says “We have this annual event where we want to pay tribute and to just honour our hard working staff members that work daily to save the lives of many people.

Often, they are under appreciated, but we want to tell them that they are quite important and we want to recognise them for the hard work that they do, Smart added.
