In response to the DA’s
seven day deadline to release the Blue and Green drop reports, the minister of
Water and Sanitation, Nomvula Mokoyane, and her spokesperson have again
contradicted themselves and in doing so possibly misled South Africa.
In a series of replies
to the DA’s questions in Parliament, Minister Mokoyane confirmed that the Blue
and Green Drop reports are indeed complete.
However her spokesperson Mlimandlela Ndamase
now claims that the Department is still in the process of ensuring all
information within reports.
DA Deputy Shadow
Minister of Water and Sanitation Leon Basson added that
“South Africa does not know the status of our infrastructure on water
and sanitation therefore the minister has until Friday to release the report and
if the minister does not do so, the DA will take action.”
