Three people were killed and
at least nine others were injured in a collision between a bakkie and a light
motor vehicle. The collision occurred on the N4 near Waterval Boven,
Mpumalanga.
“ER24
paramedics arrived on the scene they found that both occupants of the light
motor vehicle sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the bakkie was also
killed and the front passenger of the bakkie sustained critical injuries” said
Pieter Rossouw.
“The critically
injured patient was airlifted to Rob Ferreira Hospital for urgent medical
treatment. The remaining patients were allegedly on the back of the bakkie”, added
Rossouw.
He added
that… “The cause of the collision remains unknown, local authorities were on
the scene for further investigation”.
