SAHRC to investigate several racist comments on social media

The South African Human Rights Commission is concerned about alleged racist comments attributed on social media by Penny Sparrows, a former estate agent at Eskel Jawitz, Economist Chris Hart and Justin Van Vuuren. The commission’s Diale has launched an investigation into the comments which may lead to further legal step.

SAHRC Dieketseng Diale says “We are saying no to racism, ever in SA we come a long way and you know we spelled a rainbow nation and it is important for us to embrace one another. What the constitution of this country have provided, that everyone has an inherent dignity and the right to have their dignity respected and protected.’’
