Fiela operations yielded positive results in the Western Cape

The Western Cape South African Police Service conduct several Fiela operations over the weekend in the areas of Kraaifontein and Mfuleni.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut says all operations paid off with positive results.

He says in Kraaifontein on Friday night, a total of ten suspects were arrested for the possession of large quantities of drugs and five were arrested for illegal trading of liquor, which also resulted in One-hundred and eighty-eight litres of alcohol being confiscated.

He added that “Patrols in the area also led to the discovery of a stolen Ford Bantam with an illegal firearm inside. Meanwhile, in Mfuleni a suspect was arrested for being in possession of a homemade firearm and another was arrested for being in possession of seven-kilograms of dagga.”
