The City of Cape Town visited Glendale High school today

The City of Cape Town’s Health Directorate went to school today to promote teen health. The City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Health, Councillor Siyabulela Mamkeli, engaged with learners at the Glendale High School in Mitchells Plain on issues like personal hygiene, safe sex, HIV/Aids and tuberculosis.

Mamkeli says…We can’t pretend that children and teenagers are unaffected by health issues weather it be HIV or TB or Sexual Transmitted Infection and we   have a duty to ensure that they know what their rights and choices are.”

 “It is crucial for us to engage with young people are growing up will miss perception and old wives takes because certainly topics are tobacco in their home and communities.” He added
