Three people were left critically injured yesterday following a head on collision between two light motor vehicles at the Van Riebeek and Monument Road intersection in Kempton Park.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found two wrecked light motor vehicles blocking the one lane of busy road”, said Russel Meiring.

“On assessment, paramedics found a man lying in the one vehicle while a man and woman lay in the second vehicle”, said Meiring.

“All three patients were found to be in a critical condition. Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions”, He added.

“Once treated, two patients were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals while the third was airlifted by the ER24 helicopter”, He concluded.
