The ANC in the Western Cape will commemorate Human Rights Day today, at the Khayelitsha Resource Centre, Cape Town, starting at 11h00.

They celebrate this day each year to remind people of the great suffering and loss of life that accompanied the struggle for human rights. It is a reminder that people in South Africa will never again be denied their human rights.

The Khayelitsha Human Rights commemoration event will honor the road South Africa has traveled in ensuring that every South African enjoys full benefits as enshrined in the Bill of Rights and will also highlight the persisting and recurring violations of human rights under the DA government in the Western Cape.
