Three people shot in Crown Mine area

Three men were shot this evening in the Crown Mine area, south of Johannesburg.

“Paramedics arrived at an open field where they found three men lying on the ground”, ER24 spokesperson Rusell Meiring said.

“On assessment, paramedics found that all three men had sustained gunshot wounds to their legs and were in a serious condition”, He said.

“Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions”, said Meiring.

“Once treated, the patients were transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for urgent treatment”, he added.

“One of the patients later told paramedics that they had been sitting in the field cooking when a man approached them and apparently opened fire”, he concluded.
