Today a group of 29 UCT students, who stormed the gates of Parliament last year, are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court.

The sons of struggle hero Frank Chikane, UCT vice-chancellor Max Price, Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba and advocate Wim Trengrove are among them.

The group also includes prominent student activist, Chumani Maxwele, who initiated the RhodesMustFall campaign that led to the eventual removal of the Cecil John Rhodes statue from UCT last year. The group is facing charges of public violence and attending an illegal gathering.
