The Thabo Mbeki Foundation has
denied claims that former President Thabo Mbeki introduced the Gupta family to
President Jacob Zuma.
The claims have most recently been made by a representative of the Ex-Political Prisoners Association Mpho Masemola following an apparent meeting between his organisation and President Zuma last week.
The foundation has also denied that any member of the Gupta family served as an economic advisor to the former President.
It says Ajay Gupta‚ served on the International Marketing Council board and Brand SA.
