A well-known writer has been found murdered at her Wellington home

Winnie Rust’s body was found by her husband yesterday.

It’s being reported she had injuries to her face and her hands and feet had been bound.

 Police have confirmed a murder case is being investigated.

Rust's first novel, Martha, a story about the black countess of Stamford, was shortlisted for the Jan Rabie/Rapport prize in 2005.
