Speaker of the National Assembly Baleka Mbete ordered Public Order Police to remove Economic Freedom Figthers MPs from the chamber. Mbete made the decision after the EFF interrupted proceedings ahead of President Jacob Zuma's budget address.

EFF Spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, says the party will pursue criminal charges against those who physically removed them from Parliament on Wednesday.

Ndlozi, argued that President Zuma had broken his Oath of Office regarding the Public Protector's remedial action on Nkandla, and should therefore not be allowed to address the Chamber.

Floyd Shivambu said the EFF would pursue charges against the "thugs" who removed them and Ndlozi said they will challenge this.
