Man injured as car bursts into flames

A man has been critically injured when the vehicle he was driving in burst into flames after crashing into a tree on the N-7 at Goodwood.

ER-24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says it is understood that the passenger managed to pull the driver from the vehicle.

Paramedics treated the man on scene and rushed him to hospital.
The passenger was uninjured.

In another crash, a car collided with a taxi in a lane in the opposite direction.

Two women inside the car sustained minor injuries and were also treated on the scene and transported to hospital.


The third occupant in this vehicle, a man, and the taxi driver were uninjured. Authorities are investigating the cause of both incidents.
