Six suspects arrested for housebreaking

Members from SAPS Claremont where on routine crime prevention patrols on Tuesday, when they received information to be on the lookout for a white Avanza with six occupants who were just involved in a housebreaking in Malleson Road in Mowbray.

Police managed to pull over the vehicle in Imam Haron Road and upon searching the vehicle, they recovered a television set, four cameras, and an assortment of jewellery, a crow bar and a screw driver.

Six male suspects aged between 28 and 35 were arrested and will make a court appearance at the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Thursday on charges relating to house breaking and theft, possession of presumably stolen property and possession of housebreaking implements. 


Police are also investigating the possibility of these suspects being wanted or linked to other cases.
