Oscar Pistorius's lawyer Barry Roux has pleaded with the court not to sentence the former Paralympian to 15 years in jail.

Final arguments are being heard in the North Gauteng High Court where Pistorius faces a minimum sentence of 15 years for murder, unless the court finds substantial or compelling circumstances to deviate from this.

Roux has argued that Pistorius did not mean to kill Reeva Steenkamp.

Roux said Pistorius's disability and anxiety disorder affected his ability to think clearly when faced with danger.
