Judge Thokozile Masipa will be under pressure to restore public confidence in the law on Monday, as sentencing proceedings are set to begin in the Oscar Pistorius murder trial.

Pistorius will be back at the High Court in Pretoria where he will be sentenced again, after the Supreme Court of Appeal found him guilty of murder and not culpable homicide as Masipa had previously found.

He’s been convicted of shooting and killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day two years ago at his home in Pretoria.

Criminal law attorney Rian Louw says all eyes will be on Masipa.
