The Independent Electoral Commission in the Western Cape has confirmed that about 50 699 special voters have cast their votes on day one of special votes.
IEC’s Berric Machael says this is equal to 65% of the total applications for special votes.
He says about 20 000 of special voters are expected to vote today.
Machael explains…. “We on track with our participations whole participations, we on track with the voting stations and candidates at the voting stations and we are hoping that we should completing at five o’clock this evening. “
“If the participations don’t complete at five o’clock it will continue until they completed the whole voting”. Macheal said
