Xolani Sotashe, ANC Mayoral Candidate, was interviewed on Bush Radio’s live broadcast from the Century City Conference Center.

When asked about his views on the elections he said:

“Well I’m very positive. We are not contesting these elections to loose we are contesting these elections to win.

I hear that some people are saying that we’re dreaming but that’s fine.

It’s good to dream. Because sometimes you have to realize your dreams, but if those parties are confident that they will win before the votes are casted.

Why are they contesting the elections, so we shouldn’t be contesting elections, we are all starting from scratch.

We have to contest the space, come twelve o’’clock today when results starts tipping in, we will emerge victorious as the African National Congress."

He was asked on the issue of the ANC apparently not standing in certain areas.

“Ï got a call whilst I was on the ground from one of the coordinators in the Parow flats.

When people went to vote they couldn’t find the ANC on the ballad papers, it’s very strange.

I’ve asked them to follow upon this issue because at this moment it is a allegation and it must be investigated and get the reason why the ANC is not on the ballad paper.”
