Coalition government for Laingsburg Municipality

A coalition government is on the cards for Laingsburg municipality as no outright majority was won by either the ANC or the DA even though both parties got a high percentage of votes.

The total number of the votes casted is 3 158 in the Laingsburg Municipality with 55 spoilt ballots.

The outcome is the ANC got 46%, DA got 43% and KDF got 7%.

That means there will be coalition government between KDF and either the ANC or the DA, making the KDF king maker in Laingsburg municipality, with discussion over the next few days to form the government.


The final seat allocation will be available in the next few days for the Laingsburg municipality.
