Former Intelligence Minister Ronnie Kasrils is suing the head of the uMkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association Kebby Maphatsoe for defamation.
Kasrils is heading to the Pretoria High Court following allegations made by Maphatsoe over two years ago.
The MK veterans head apparently made remarks during a press conferences that Kasrils gave legal advice to “Kwezi”, the young woman who accused President Jacob Zuma of raping her.
Maphathoe also allegedly accused Kasrils of being a sell-out and an enemy of the revolution for dismissing a number of soldiers of uMkhonto we Sizwe. Kasrils has labeled the allegations untrue and malicious.
